These terms apply when you use Colourwise, operated by HEKNO Ltd (“HEKNO Ltd”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Colourwise is a HEKNO brand, not a separate legal entity.
Colour information — including technical conversions, classifications, and mood, cultural, historical, religious, folklore, interior, fashion and branding guidance — is general information, education and decision support. It is not a guarantee that any recommendation, pairing or physical colour match will suit your specific use, material, lighting or audience, and it is not a substitute for professional advice or inspection.
Screen colours describe sRGB values only. Paint, fabric, print and other physical materials will not exactly match — always check a physical sample before committing to a purchase or large-scale use. See methodology.
HEKNO Ltd grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable permission to access Colourwise for lawful personal or internal business use, subject to these terms and the Intellectual Property & Content Use policy. No ownership rights are transferred.
You must not use Colourwise unlawfully; interfere with security or availability; bypass access controls or rate limits; introduce malware; impersonate others; systematically extract or republish protected content contrary to the Content Use policy; remove rights/provenance notices; or submit content you have no right to submit.
Recommendations may use stated criteria, editorial judgement or automation. They do not guarantee suitability, availability or performance, and never take into account advertising or affiliate relationships when ranking or matching colours — see advertising policy.
HEKNO Ltd and licensors retain applicable rights in protected content, software, databases, taxonomies, selection and arrangement, designs and documentation on Colourwise. See Intellectual Property & Content Use.
Colourwise is actively developed. Content, tools and data may change, be incomplete, or be temporarily unavailable without notice. HEKNO Ltd may improve, restrict, suspend or discontinue services; free services are not promised to be uninterrupted or error-free.
Nothing excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, HEKNO Ltd is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, result from misuse, or arise from reliance without reasonable verification. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
These terms and related non-contractual obligations are governed by Scots law. Subject to mandatory rights available to consumers in their place of residence, Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
