Defines the safety colours used by the rest of the Z535 series for facility signs, product labels, tags and barricade tape.

| Red | DANGER — the most severe level: a hazard that will kill if not avoided | White |
| Orange | WARNING — a hazard that may kill and will injure | Black |
| Yellow | CAUTION — a hazard that may injure but not kill | Black |
